SAAB 2001，130K miles.启动是一点反应没有，只有click一声。最近启动一直不是很
顺，感觉是没电的样子，查了电池还好，两年新的电池。初步认为是starter的问题。
因为starter motor 没动因应该是starter solenoid 的问题。但是又可以听到启动时
的很响click声音。以前朋友也有类似的问题，说是有的金属垫片磨了要换一下。请高
手给个意见

most likely:

1-click -> starter, hit the starter during ignition
multiple clicks -> battery, check voltage

如果是自动车的话是有个有关于档位的sensor要bypass掉,周围好几辆saab都这毛病

fuel pump也有可能。可以把后坐掀起来，下面有个地毯盖着的圆盖。找一个人来发车
，然后你在后坐那个元盖那里听有没有响声，没有输油的声音的话，油泵有问题了。。
。老萨博常见病。

才换了feul pump，如果是油路的问题，启动是应该会有engine crank.如果engine没有
一点反应，那只有是电池和starter的问题。我能听到loud click，说明电流到了
starter selenoid, 没有能启动 starter motor. 应该是电路的问题。我没修过
starter,所以不知道是换整个starter呢，还是把它取出来看看。

How can I make sure it is NSS problem? I can't get a cold or hot start. I
read some threads say usually result in hot start problem. Thanks a lot.

you can bypass the NSS without doing permanent modification to your car. see
if that works. just google it.

I just did the bypass of NSS, but the car still failed to start. I think a
starter test is needed. Can you give me some suggestion? Thanks a lot.

get a conclusion for my case. It is the problem of battery and cable. I
tested the starter with no problem. and then changed the cable and get
multiple click meaning the bad battery. Two years ago, wolmart get the wrong
battery for me. What a shit of wolmart service! They refuse to change to
the right one, just give me a new wrong one for warranty.

interesting thing is my car could not get a jump start, which mislead me for
a long time. Did some research said, if the battery is totally dead, the
jump start won't work. and a senior mechanics said meet this problem always
go to battery and cable first.
